Why bamboo?

Bamboo is softer on knives than plastic and is easier to clean and maintain than hardwood, it is quickly cleaned with hand washing in warm water.

Bamboo is harder than maple and even has higher tensile strength than steel.

As a grass, its roots remain and it quickly turns after harvest. It is grown organically even in difficult terrain without pesticides, artificial irrigation or replanting.

Bamboo is better for the Earth. It releases more oxygen than a similarly sized tree stand. Its root system helps prevent erosion. And the Moso bamboo used by Totally Bamboo is not part of the panda’s diet.
