Fresh Farm-To-Table Elements

For Your Tropical Home

Innovative chefs and floral designers share a love for the sheer drama and fragrance of food.

Bring seasonal elements onto the table to enjoy their form and color

  • Pile local peppers on a tray.
  • Heap local sea salt into a shell, and tuck in an antique spoon
  • Stack lemons and limes in vases.
  • Keep your eyes open for local kumquats. They are lovely, wound onto a wreath.

  • In summer, order darling, miniature sugarloaf pineapples from Lady Di in Eleuthera. They make gorgeous garnishes. Potted miniature pineapples make lovely take-home gifts.
  • Line fresh, potted herbs along your kitchen counter and use them to decorate your dining table.
  • Fill a tray with coconuts, topped and ready to serve.

  • Source local allspice shrubs to cultivate as culinary standards.
  • There are three distinct varietals grown in The Bahamas: standard allspice, anise, and citron. Broken leaves release an unmistakable je ne sais quoi in sauces, broths, traditional meals.
